About the role

My Islam Tutor is an online Qur'an academy serving Muslim families in the UK, US, and beyond. Every tutor at the academy is a qualified woman — it is the foundation the academy is built on, and the reason families choose us.

We are looking for an experienced female Hifz tutor to guide and supervise students through Qur'an memorization with structured revision — sabaq, sabqi, and manzil — online, one-on-one. You will set realistic targets, build steady consistency, and keep parents closely informed of each student's progress.

You will teach through a purpose-built platform that handles scheduling, progress tracking, and parent communication for you, supported by a warm and professional team. All students and parents communicate in English.

What you'll do

  • Plan and deliver structured Hifz lessons and revision
  • Set realistic memorization targets for each student
  • Record progress and lesson notes in the academy platform
  • Communicate with parents on progress and areas of focus
  • Uphold the academy's curriculum and safeguarding standards

Who we're looking for

In order of priority.

  1. 1Fluent spoken and written English — essential; all students and parents communicate in EnglishEssential — top priority
  2. 2Female (the academy exclusively employs female tutors)
  3. 3Hafiza with strong, accurate tajweed
  4. 4Experience supervising Hifz students, including structured revision cycles (sabaq, sabqi, manzil)
  5. 5Reliable high-speed internet, a quiet teaching environment, headset and webcam
  6. 6Ability to motivate and build consistency in young memorizers

Nice to have

  • Ijazah in Hifz
  • Experience preparing students for Hifz completion
  • Prior online tutoring experience

Compensation

Competitive hourly rate, paid monthly — based on qualifications and experience.
